Tony Ditaranto

Tony DiTaranto wields a diverse set of advanced professional skills including comprehensive enterprise IT management, face-to-face tech support, music education, choral conducting, and classical singing. He is based in Queens, NY.

He currently co-owns a small business named "Pixel Noise" (pixelnoise.tech) that provides enterprise IT support services locally. He's served as the lead provider of end-to-end IT solutions for Divine Wisdom Catholic Academy, an elementary/middle school, for over five years, including MDM, consultation, account and license management, networking infrastructure, and break-fix support.

Musically, he has performed in numerous operas, musicals, choirs, and barbershop quartets. He taught music at public schools in NYC and Westchester and led a community choir at Theater for the New City. He now serves on the faculty of the 92NY School of Music (92ny.org), where he leads a contemporary classical community choir (92NY Community Chorus). He also sings with, and serves on the board of, the eVoco Voice Collective (evoco.vc).

Tony earned an M.A. in Music and Music Education from Teachers College, Columbia University (TC) and a B.S.Ed. in Music Education from Hofstra University. At Hofstra, he received the Dorothy Hoag Memorial Award for excellence in musical performance and became a licensed music teacher in New York and Connecticut. At TC, he led a graduate student vocal ensemble and taught applied voice lessons. He has sung with Trinity Wall Street's Downtown Voices (trinitywallstreet.org/downtownvoices). He has also studied and performed at the Manhattan School of Music and Westminster Choir College.

Tony has studied vocal and applied music pedagogy with Dr. Jeanne Goffi-Fynn, conducting with Dr. David Fryling, and vocal technique with Gregory Mercer and Peter Van Derrick.

Whether managing enterprise systems or leading a choir through a new work, Tony brings the same precision, curiosity, and empathy to both sides of his career.
